Description

The Bose Acoustimass 3 Speaker System, copyright dated 1989, is the original small-box revolution that made audiophiles do a double-take at what a subwoofer module and two satellite cube speakers could do together. The passive subwoofer module wears its black textured vinyl wrap with the dignified scratches of a well-traveled veteran, featuring dual spring-clip input and output binding posts on the rear panel clearly labeled for left and right channels, rated at 2x50 watts IEC with a nominal impedance of 5 ohms, compatible with amplifiers rated 4-8 ohms. The two matching Bose cube satellite speakers sport their iconic ribbed grille design with the classic Acoustimass System badge in red lettering, and the triangular-profile cube body design that became a signature Bose aesthetic for decades. Speaker wire is included with bare stripped copper ends ready for connection, and the subwoofer module shows the expected honest cosmetic wear including surface scratches on the lid, making this a solid working-class system ready to remind a new owner why Bose built its reputation one living room at a time.
