Description

This magnificent vintage club armchair is a love letter to the golden age of American home furnishings, dressed head to toe in its original striped chenille upholstery in a glorious harvest gold, avocado green, tangerine, and powder blue palette that screams groovy Mid-Century living room chic. The chair features a tall tufted button back with fabric-covered buttons intact, wide padded armrests, a generous seat cushion, and a pleated skirt base concealing tapered walnut-stained wooden legs in solid condition. One tufting button on the back has lost its fabric covering, revealing a bare metal anchor, and the top crest rail shows some fraying and age-appropriate wear consistent with its decades of distinguished service. The seat platform beneath the removable cushion is covered in a mauve fabric, the cushion itself remains plump and intact, and the overall structure is sturdy and sound, making this a fantastic candidate for a reupholstery project or a bold statement piece for the retro enthusiast who appreciates authentic vintage character.
