Description
This commanding two-piece Bassett China hutch is the undisputed monarch of the dining room, featuring a dramatic crown molding cornice top, four turned column pilasters, and three beveled glass doors that open to a fully lighted interior with mirrored back panels and three adjustable glass shelves. The lower buffet sideboard is loaded with storage including three small upper drawers, two large velvet-lined flatware drawers, three lower drawers with dovetail joinery, and three cabinet doors concealing shelved interiors. Finished in a rich warm walnut tone with antique brass hardware throughout, this piece carries the classic Bassett brass maker plate inside the drawer and shows the quality construction the brand is known for. Condition notes include minor white dot debris visible on interior shelves and cabinet floors, light surface wear on the buffet top rail and drawer sides, and normal age-appropriate patina consistent with a well-loved but well-cared-for piece.
