Description

This handsome vintage end table is playing a long game of functional elegance, featuring a hinged bi-fold lift-top lid secured by two brass butterfly hinges that reveal a generously sized interior storage compartment below. The trapezoid-shaped body sits proudly on four classically turned bulbous legs connected by a scallop-apron base stretcher, giving it that unmistakable Early American colonial personality. The front panel is adorned with a decorative bail-style brass drop handle, and the figured maple veneer panels show beautiful grain character throughout, though the front section of the lid does present some honest wear including finish loss that tells the story of a well-loved life. The back panel bears what appear to be handwritten inventory numbers in blue marker, a small quirk that does absolutely nothing to diminish the charm of this practical and attractive accent piece.
