Description

This tall, tapered copper pitcher is a showstopper straight out of the workshops of Gat Copper Works Ltd., bearing its original label proudly proclaiming it a hand-crafted Hatikvah piece from Israel. The body is adorned with two bold bands of repousse decoration featuring Gothic arch motifs, interlaced foliate designs, and delicate dotted border work that required serious skill and patience to execute. A dramatic wide-brimmed spout flares out like a trumpet and a graceful strap handle swoops elegantly from rim to base, giving the piece both functional flair and sculptural presence. Condition shows honest age-related patina throughout with some separation noted at the neck seam near the spout, adding character without compromising the visual drama of this collectible Israeli copper treasure.
