Description

This extensive sterling silver flatware service was produced by Westmorland Sterling in the classic "George & Martha" pattern. Designed with elegant, understated scrollwork and traditional contours along the handle edge, this pattern was introduced in 1940. Created through a partnership with Wallace Silversmiths in Wallingford, Connecticut, Westmorland patterns were direct-sold across America during the mid-20th century, making this set a prime representation of mid-century American silver craftsmanship.

The solid sterling portion of the set includes table forks, salad forks, tablespoons, soup spoons, serving spoons, a sugar spoon, a gravy/sauce ladle, a serving fork, and a salt cellar set featuring a miniature spoon.
