Description
This ceramic phrenology bust, marked “Phrenology by L.N. Fowler,” features a detailed diagram of the head, displaying the mapped “organs” and faculties used in 19th-century phrenological study. The surface shows fine crackle typical of this style of reproduction, with clear, legible text throughout. The back includes Fowler’s explanation of his research and method, making this both decorative and educational. The piece is well-made with a glossy finish and a classic blue-trimmed base. Ideal for display in an office, study, or curiosity collection, it captures the historic fascination with early psychological sciences. A great accent for collectors of medical, scientific, or oddity-themed items.
