Description

This vintage hobnail glass vase was manufactured by the Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. Pressed from light ice blue glass with a translucent opalescent finish, the piece features raised hobnail studs cascading down a tapered, footed cone body. The top rim is hand-crimped into a wide, ruffled double-crest collar highlighted by a milk-white opalescent edge trim. Based on Fenton's production history and the unmarked smooth round footed base, this piece dates from the mid-20th century, produced between the late 1940s and 1960s.

The vase exhibits Fenton's craftsmanship, combining the raised tactile hobnail pattern with classic opalescent glassmaking techniques. The flared, ruffled rim creates a dramatic trumpet silhouette supported by a short pedestal stem and flat circular base plate.
