This vintage art glass paperweight by Adam Jablonski is formed in a teardrop or nexus-style shape, featuring a clear crystal exterior encasing a dynamic internal swirl of cobalt blue and yellow glass. Controlled bubbles are suspended within the form, creating depth and luminosity as light passes through the piece. The sculptural profile and balanced proportions give it a strong visual presence, suitable for display as both a paperweight and decorative art object.
Adam Jablonski (Polish, born 1936) was a trained glass technologist and well-regarded art glass artist whose work is recognized internationally. His pieces are hand-blown and often incorporate advanced techniques such as sommerso layering and controlled bubble inclusions. Examples are typically signed on the polished base, often with the artist’s initials, reflecting studio art glass production from the late 20th century, particularly the 1990s.
The piece measures approximately 5.5 to 6 inches tall. Condition appears to be good to excellent vintage condition, with light surface wear consistent with careful display. No cracks or chips are visible, and the glass retains strong clarity and color saturation.
