The tabletop features a bleached oak veneer surface framed by a wraparound brass-tone metal edge banding, giving it that quintessential late 1950s to early 1960s look that designers are scrambling to reproduce today. Four sharply tapered black lacquered metal legs terminate in brass-capped feet, splayed outward in that signature atomic-era stance, while a sliding metal extension mechanism underneath accepts the included matching leaf panel, expanding seating capacity nicely. Condition is honest vintage: the brass edging shows wear, tarnish, and some scuffs consistent with decades of use, the tabletop surface carries light staining and minor scratches, and the underside extension hardware shows surface rust, but the bones are solid and the whole package is deeply charismatic.
