Description

This yellow-painted body is an M26 series fragmentation grenade fitted with a M205A2 fuze dated October 1969 (MEI-2-3 lot), complete with its blue spoon lever, pull ring, and a red safety indicator tab still attached. The grenade body is hollow and inert, showing heavy age patina and paint loss consistent with genuine field use, with casting markings partially reading 'RFX' on the body and an open base cavity visible. This was used as a training grenade 

This is a spent 40mm M118 High Explosive cartridge case, a classic Vietnam-era M79 or M203 grenade launcher shell. The aluminum-and-steel case is headstamped '40MM M118, RN0-2-12, 6-69, CT' indicating a June 1969 manufacture date, and the body is stenciled in yellow 'CTG 40MM HE' with an AMM LOT MA- designation, making it a highly desirable display piece for any Vietnam collector.

The lot also includes a black metal tube assembly that appears to be a military tool or blank firing adapter component, featuring a knurled end cap and a mounting lug bracket, likely associated with rifle or launcher accessories from the same era.

Rounding out this exceptional lot are approximately 20 mixed spent brass cartridge cases and pulled bullets in various rifle calibers, showing expected age, oxidation, and field wear, along with what appears to be fragmented copper jacket pieces and deformed projectiles, perfect for display or research purposes.
