Case and Sons Cutlery Company of Bradford, Pennsylvania, this 1985 Second Cut Stag 5165 SS folding hunter knife was created to celebrate Case Cutlery's 80th Anniversary, commemorating the years 1905 through 1985. The blade features a stunning photo-etched scroll design reading 'W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery Co. 80th Anniversary,' paired with Case's Tru-Sharp Surgical Steel mirror-polished finish, a stainless steel backspring, brass liners, nickel silver bolsters, and a genuine second-cut stag handle with the iconic Case shield -- every detail drips with old-school American craftsmanship. This individual example is serial number 0415, individually engraved on the bolster, making it one of only 5,000 produced in this limited run numbered 0001 through 5000. The knife is presented in its original shadow box display case with a brass identification plaque on the front and the original certification label affixed to the back, ready to hang on the wall or stand on a shelf -- the presentation case shows some exterior wear and red residue on the lower edge, while the knife itself displays beautifully.
