Description:
Makers Mark 2000 Keeneland Bottle The Empty 1,875/10,000.
Maker’s Mark is a renowned bourbon brand that traces its origins back to 1953 when it was founded by Bill Samuels Sr. in Loretto, Kentucky. Distinctive for its handcrafted approach and iconic red wax seal, Maker’s Mark stands out as a premium bourbon known for its smoothness and flavor. The recipe, crafted by Bill Samuels Sr. with the help of a chemist, features a high wheat content, resulting in a sweeter, more mellow taste compared to traditional bourbon recipes. Maker’s Mark has remained family-owned and operated, adhering to its founder’s vision of producing exceptional whiskey using time-honored methods. Today, it remains a beloved favorite among bourbon enthusiasts worldwide, revered for its quality and craftsmanship. In 2000 to commemorate the 4th running of the Maker’s Mark Mile at Keeneland, Maker’s released these empty (Dry) bottles. Each of the 10,000 bottles proceits went to the Tubby Smith Foundation in Lexington.
