This vintage 8mm movie camera is an iconic Model 172 Magazine Camera manufactured by Bell & Howell of Chicago, Illinois, USA. First introduced in the early 1950s (circa 1950–1952), this compact motion picture camera was designed to accept pre-loaded 8mm film magazines for easy loading. The side plate features a detailed circular exposure calculator dial printed with shutter speeds, exposure index settings, lighting conditions, and frame-rate options ranging up to 64 frames per second. 

Constructed with a heavy-duty die-cast metal body, the camera is wrapped in textured brown leatherette with polished chrome trim accents. It comes equipped with a side-mounted Bell & Howell 0.5-inch f/1.9 focus-adjustable lens made in the USA, along with a winding key, standard tripod mount socket, and a attached fabric wrist lanyard. The lot also includes a custom-fit brown leather shoulder bag carrying case with a secure front flap and adjustable strap. 

The overall set includes a total item count of two main pieces: the vintage Bell & Howell camera and the leather carrying case. Based on the provided measuring tape photographs, the camera body measures approximately 5.25 inches in height, 4.5 inches in total width (including the side lens extension), and 2.25 inches in thickness/depth.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
