Description

This hefty, hand-cast brass Dimetrodon figurine is the kind of conversation piece that stops guests dead in their tracks. Covered head to tail in meticulously detailed scale texturing, this sail-backed ancient reptile strikes a proud four-legged pose with a long sweeping tail curling dramatically behind it. The natural verdigris patina settling into the recessed scales tells you this beauty has been around the block, adding authentic character that no amount of polishing could improve upon. A gold oval sticker on the underside confirms its Korean manufacture, placing it squarely in the mid-century brass animal figurine boom that swept import shops and estate sales alike.
