Standing approximately 57 inches tall, this stunning vintage tole floor lamp commands attention with its rich oxblood red finish and hand-painted gold botanical motifs adorning both the conical shade and domed base. The lamp features a classic Bouillotte-inspired dual-arm design, with one arm supporting the downward-facing tole shade complete with a pierced brass gallery trim at the top, and the opposing arm balancing a large upward-facing white glass torchiere bowl for ambient uplighting. The fluted column, reeded decorative arms, and brass hardware accents throughout speak to serious quality and a mid-20th century American Federal or Colonial Revival aesthetic. Condition shows honest patina and age-appropriate wear including minor paint chips on the base, but the bones are exceptional and the hand-painted gold acanthus and leaf designs remain vivid and intact.
