Description
This loveseat is a vintage 1970s piece featuring a classic tuxedo-style silhouette, with straight arms set at the same height as the back. The form is compact and architectural, offering a squared profile that mirrors the proportions commonly seen in modernist lounge seating of the period. The scale makes it a natural companion to a matching sofa or a strong standalone accent.
The loveseat is upholstered in a bold geometric patchwork or chevron-patterned velvet or velour fabric, a textile style closely associated with 1970s modern interiors. The design language aligns with Mid-Century Modern and post–Mid-Century Modern furniture, particularly pieces associated with Milo Baughman–inspired forms and high-impact textiles in the spirit of Jack Lenor Larsen. Similar tuxedo-style seating was produced during this era by manufacturers such as Royale by Kroehler, contributing to the widespread popularity of this look.
The upholstery shows wear consistent with age and use, including expected velvet pile variation and light surface wear in contact areas. Cushion condition and overall structure should be evaluated in person. The loveseat presents as a visually striking vintage piece well suited to Mid-Century Modern, modernist, or eclectic interiors and pairs naturally with similarly styled seating.
