Description

This collection includes three German beer steins, each with hinged pewter lids and traditional relief decoration. Stein 1 is a porcelain example marked “Höhr Hand Painted Germany” to the underside and measures approximately 6 inches at the base and 10 inches tall. The body features polychrome military-themed decoration including cannons, regimental insignia, and script reading “1909 Heinr. Hausner 1911,” along with German verses and the numeral “1” beneath a crown motif. The lid is surmounted by a cast cannon finial, and the stein retains its original thumb lift and hinge assembly.

Stein 2 is a taller tan and cobalt example marked “Made in Germany” to the underside and measures approximately 4 inches at the base and 9 inches tall. The body displays raised scenic panels including alpine-style architecture and landscape motifs, with molded decorative borders at the rim and foot. The pewter lid features an embossed domed top with a traditional thumb lift. The coloration and relief work are consistent with mid-20th century West German production intended for export.

Stein 3 is a smaller example measuring approximately 5 1/4 inches tall. It is marked “Made in Germany” with impressed mold numbers to the base. The body features a hand-painted figural scene with landscape elements and traditional border decoration in warm tan, green, and cobalt tones. The pewter lid includes an embossed dome and functional hinge. This stein appears to be a later 20th century production piece in the traditional German style.

Together, these three steins represent a range of German manufacture, including a marked Höhr example and two West German export pieces. All retain their hinged pewter lids and decorative thumb lifts. They show typical age-related wear consistent with display and handling. This grouping would appeal to collectors of German steins, breweriana, or European decorative ceramics seeking varied examples of traditional lidded beer steins in differing sizes and themes.

1. All items are sold where is, as is.

2. Once payment is completed for item(s) won, the ability to schedule a pick-up time will become available. Scheduling a pick-up time is required.

3. There will be a $20 fee assessed per item not picked up at that time that will be collected prior to bidding again at our auctions. Unlike retail, we do not have the option to store your item. If the item is larger than a standard suitcase (22" x 14" x 10"), we will charge $50 to the card on file per item to move the item.

4. Please plan accordingly as items not picked up are considered "abandoned". Do not bid if you cant pick up this day.

5. You are responsible for ensuring you collect all items at pickup.

6. Legacy uses "Popcorn" or "Extended" bidding. This means if a bid comes in at the last second, it is extended 3 minutes. This is like a live auctioneer saying, "going once" to ensure all bids are exhausted prior to closing.

7. We charge a 12% flat buyers premium on all items.

8. We charge KY State Tax with the exception of vehicles which is collected at the DMV.

9. You must bring help to pickup any items. We can recommend movers upon request. Also, please bring tools for items that require disassembly.
