Description

Step back into 1995 with this absolute unit of portable audio, the JVC RC-X540 CD Portable System, a full-featured boombox packing a front-loading CD tray with 1-Bit DAC technology, a cassette deck, and an AM/FM tuner all in one glorious black shell. The Multi-Bass Horn system gives this beast a low-end punch that makes modern Bluetooth speakers weep, while the dual speaker grilles flanking the control panel remind you that JVC meant serious business back in the day. The rear label confirms a November 1995 manufacture date, AC 120V operation, and the unit measures approximately 22 inches wide based on the tape measure shown, making it a proper shelf-filling statement piece. Condition shows honest cosmetic wear consistent with nearly 30 years of life, with the telescoping antenna intact on both ends and the power cord present and accounted for.
