Description
This is the iconic 1971 Barbie Country Camper by Mattel, model FR-450, and it is an absolute time capsule of psychedelic 1970s toy design at its absolute finest. The exterior is a bold yellow and orange with an unmistakable flower-power graphic featuring rainbows, clouds, a peace dove, and retro blooms, all surrounding the classic Barbie script logo alongside an official Mattel sticker. The cab opens to reveal an orange interior with a printed woodgrain dashboard, an orange three-spoke steering wheel, and two molded bench seats, while the living quarters open via a side door to expose fully decorated walls featuring an owl print, a stained-glass lamp sconce, a floral pot, and pink paisley upholstered seating with built-in cabinetry, plus a molded sink and stovetop counter. This lot includes the camper itself plus its original accessories: two plaid vinyl sleeping bags in pink, orange, yellow, and white check, a yellow vinyl ground cloth, and one folding orange director-style camp chair with matching plaid fabric seat, making this one of the more complete examples you will find at auction.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
