Two racing legends. Two collectible Maker’s Mark bottles. Not a photo finish in sight.

This special package contains the second and third releases in Maker’s Mark and Keeneland’s 10-year “Greats of the Gate” commemorative bottle series, created to celebrate some of Thoroughbred racing’s most celebrated horses while supporting Kentucky nonprofit organizations.

The second release honors Lexington, the legendary 19th-century racehorse and influential sire. Issued in 2025, the bottle is presented with warm orange wax, a white ribbon and its original windowed display box marked with the number “2.”

The third release celebrates Northern Dancer, the Hall of Fame champion who became the first Canadian-bred Thoroughbred to win both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes. Issued in 2026, the bottle features colorful equine artwork, teal wax and a bright yellow ribbon inspired by Northern Dancer’s racing silks. It is housed in its original presentation box marked with the number “3.”

The Greats of the Gate artwork was created by Kentucky artist Tyler Robertson. Both bottles appear unopened, with their decorative wax seals and ribbons intact. The donor paperwork notes that these bottles are no longer available on the regular market and even highlights them as “priceless.”

4. ABANDONED ITEMS: Items not picked up without prior Auctioneer approval may be considered abandoned and resold, donated or disposed of without refund.
5. FEAT OF LOUISVILLE: Legacy Home & Estate Services donates 100% of all proceeds to FEAT of Louisville. We also do not charge charities, as our goal is to make our community better.
6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 5% Buyer’s Premium applies to cover our costs, including hosting and credit-card processing. We charge 0% sales tax for this charity auction.
7. SHIPPING & DELIVERY: Available on select items for an additional fee. See auction details.
8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by three minutes until bidding stops.
