Description

This is the crown jewel of Civil War cinema collectibles -- the Gettysburg Limited Collector's Edition from Turner Home Entertainment, and it appears to still be factory sealed in its original shrink wrap. The oversized box set is a treasure trove of historical goodies, containing the Collector's Edition VHS of the film with approximately 30 minutes of never-before-seen footage, The Making of Gettysburg documentary, the CD soundtrack, a leather-bound coffee table companion book illustrated by legendary Civil War artist Mort Kunstler, an authentic unfired Civil War bullet, a rendering of an actual 1863 battlefield map with troop movements, and four 8x10 B&W authentic Civil War photographs of top battle leaders. The dramatic packaging features both the Confederate battle flag and the Union flag in bold red, white, and blue against a striking black background with silver stars, making this as much a display piece as a collectible. Catalogued as Cat. No. 5322 with barcode 0-7806-0548-9, this 1993 Turner Pictures release is a must-have for serious Civil War enthusiasts and film history collectors alike.
