Commemorate American history with this stunning 1963 Jim Beam "Civil War Centennial" Collectible Bourbon Decanter. Issued by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. to mark the 100th anniversary of the American Civil War, this striking piece is molded in the iconic shape of a soldier's military canteen. Crafted in high-relief porcelain by Regal China from a original design by C. Miller, the double-sided decanter features two detailed battle scenes highlighted with brilliant gold leaf lettering and hand-painted accent glazes.

One side of the canteen represents the Union with advancing cavalry, infantry, a drummer boy, and the U.S. flag titled "CIVIL WAR 1861 - 1961". The opposite side represents the Confederacy, depicting a coastal defense artillery crew bombarding Fort Sumter under the title "CIVIL WAR 1861 - 1961 CENTENNIAL". Originally containing 4/5 quart of 86-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, this piece retains its original paper labels on the front, back, and sides, including an intact vintage Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board state tax seal along the shoulder.

Measuring 8.25 inches tall by 8.25 inches wide, this ceramic decanter is embossed on the base with the official distillery markings, copyright date (© C. MILLER 1963), and standard post-Prohibition federal warning. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration, displaying vibrant colors and crisp gold accents throughout.
