This is a stunning Romance by Reuge Swiss-made Black Forest cuckoo clock, model Edelweiss No. 6307, featuring an elaborately hand-carved linden wood case adorned with hand-painted edelweiss flowers, maple leaves, and a beautifully detailed bird perched proudly at the summit. The clock boasts a charming chalet-style upper section complete with two colorful hand-painted figurines on the balcony, a Roman numeral dial marked Made in Germany, and a night shut-off switch labeled AUS/OFF/EIN/ON on the reverse. This is a three-train movement clock with three cast iron pine cone weights and three chains, indicating it plays music in addition to the cuckoo call, a hallmark of high-end Black Forest clockmaking. The rear of the case is finished in a striking dark wood-grain laminate and retains its original Romance by Reuge red and black label, making this a verified, traceable example of Swiss-movement craftsmanship in a German-crafted case.
