A stunning large hand-painted Mexican Talavera-style decorative plate, approximately 12 inches in diameter, marked on the reverse 'lead free Mexico' in blue handwriting. The front bursts with a bold mandala-style floral medallion in cobalt, turquoise, yellow, orange, and green on a white ground, with red accent flowers ringing the scalloped border. This is a display-ready showpiece with a twisted wire plate stand included, and the terracotta body visible at the unglazed rim ring confirms authentic earthenware construction. A genuine statement piece of Mexican folk pottery at its most vibrant and lively.
A tall bottle-form vase, approximately 12 inches in height, decorated in the Ottoman Iznik or Persian style with dense polychrome arabesques, tulip medallions, and floral scrollwork in cobalt blue, rust brown, turquoise, and yellow on a cream ground. The elongated neck features banded geometric and foliate registers, and the base is unglazed with what appears to be a partial paper label remnant. The overall quality of hand-painting and the complexity of the repeating pattern suggest skilled artisan work consistent with Middle Eastern or North African studio pottery traditions.
A small bulbous mini bottle vase, roughly 4 to 5 inches tall, with an all-over tightly packed ground of cobalt and turquoise scrolling cloud forms punctuated by cartouche panels containing floral motifs in yellow, brown, and green. The unglazed flat base shows wheel-thrown tool marks, indicating hand production. The dense patterning and vivid palette place this firmly in the Persian or Moroccan decorative pottery tradition, and its compact scale makes it a perfect shelf accent or curio cabinet gem.
A footed baluster-form vase with a distinctive ruffled or crimped rim, standing approximately 5 to 6 inches tall, decorated with diagonal chevron panels containing large stylized floral heads in cobalt, turquoise, yellow, and green on a cream ground. Delicate scrolling vine work fills the negative spaces, and the foot ring is painted with a radiating starburst border. The overall form and decoration are strongly reminiscent of Ottoman-influenced Kutahya or Persian pottery, and the unglazed base confirms traditional earthenware construction. A charming and unusual form rarely found outside serious collections.
