This is a stunning limited edition Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky released in 2007 as a tribute to the University of Kentucky's legendary 1991-92 Wildcats squad, affectionately known as The Unforgettables. The 1.0 liter bottle is numbered 10939 out of 18000, making it a genuinely scarce piece of Kentucky basketball history, sealed with Maker's Mark's iconic blue wax dip and a custom satin ribbon printed with The Unforgettables branding. The front label features illustrated portraits and action shots of senior players Richie Farmer, Deron Feldhaus, John Pelphrey, and Sean Woods, along with Coach Rick Pitino, commemorating their heart-stopping overtime loss to Duke in the 1992 NCAA regional finals, a game widely called the greatest college basketball game ever played. A portion of proceeds benefited the Markey Cancer Foundation at the University of Kentucky, making this bottle as meaningful as it is collectible, bottled at 45% alc./vol. at Star Hill Farm in Loretto, Kentucky.
