Nippon FS-843 Stereo Cassette Deck -- This vintage Japanese-made cassette deck is a full-featured unit boasting Metal tape compatibility, Dolby B Noise Reduction, an LED VU Level Meter System for both left and right channels, a three-digit tape counter, and a large front-loading cassette bay with a clear window. The front panel includes MIC inputs for L and R channels, transport controls with the classic piano-key style buttons, a Tape Selector switch covering Normal, CrO2, and Metal formulations, and a large Input Level knob calibrated 0-8. The rear panel confirms the model as the FS-843, Made in Japan, and features DIN-style connectors for REC/PLAY and Power Input alongside an OSC switch. Cosmetically it shows honest age with some surface grime, light rust spotting on the transport buttons, and dust on the cassette window, but the power LED lights up and the unit shows signs of working life.

Nippon FS-842 Stereo Amplifier -- The matching companion amplifier carries model number FS-842 and is rated at AC 120V/60Hz or AC 220V/50Hz at 180 watts total power consumption, with a voltage selector switch on the rear panel. The front face offers a full suite of controls including a rotary Speaker Selector knob covering Off, A, B, and A+B configurations, Bass, Treble, Balance, and Volume knobs, plus input selector push-buttons for Tuner, Tape, AUX, Phono, Filter, and Loudness. The rear panel provides RCA inputs for Phono and AUX, DIN sockets for Tape REC/PLAY and Tuner, Power Supply to Deck and Tuner outlets, and two sets of speaker binding posts for A and B speaker pairs.
