Winchester Lever Action 1879 Rolling Block Rifle .32 Cal
This antique Winchester lever-action rifle, dating to the late 1870s, is chambered in .32 caliber and represents a classic example of early American firearms design and craftsmanship. Rifles from this era are highly collectible due to their historical value, hand-fitted construction, and the distinctive mechanical character found only in 19th-century firearms.
This example features an aged patina consistent with its period, with the metal and wood showing the honest wear expected from an original rifle of this timeframe. The action operates as designed, and the rifle retains the classic lines and profile associated with Winchester’s early rimfire/centerfire small-caliber rifles. The rolling-block style breech mechanism is simple, reliable, and historically significant, making rifles like this a favorite among collectors of frontier-era firearms.
