Framed 19th-century hand-colored engraving titled “Mount Desert, Coast of Maine”, depicting a serene sailboat drifting through calm waters surrounded by the rugged mountain landscape of Mount Desert Island. The soft pastel tones and fine detail are typical of engravings made after the works of landscape artists such as William Henry Bartlett, whose scenes of early America were widely published in the mid-1800s. This piece is beautifully matted in blue and housed in a dark-stained wooden frame under glass, measuring approximately 14 inches wide by 12 inches high overall. The print shows gentle age toning and light foxing, consistent with its age. A timeless maritime landscape ideal for collectors of antique coastal art. 14x12
